Midlife Advice For producers, hosts and event teams
Where physiology meets leadership.
If your audience has been told to communicate better and it has not worked, I can tell them why. Stress changes what a capable person is able to do, and that is a more useful conversation than another set of tips.
As heard on
Nine shows, and counting.
Hosts tend to book me when their audience is stuck on the same problem twice over: they know what to do and they are not doing it.

What I can talk about at length.
Any of these will fill an hour. Tell me which one your audience is actually stuck on and I will build the conversation around that.
Before you ask
The practical part.
The things producers write to ask me, answered here so you do not have to.
- Who invites me
- Leadership and coaching shows, education, women’s wellbeing and midlife, and founders building something of their own. Parenting too, when the show goes there.
- How I join
- Remote, from Reno, Nevada. In person by arrangement.
- How long
- Episodes so far have run from twenty minutes to an hour and a quarter. Tell me the format you are working to and I will shape the conversation to it.
- What I send ahead
- A bio written to be pasted straight into a show description, and a headshot. Both are further down this page.
For producers and hosts
Bio and headshot, ready to use.

Dr. Stephanie Bacon is an educator and speaker working where physiology meets leadership. Her premise is simple: if the outcomes in an organization depend on humans, then physiology matters. She holds a PhD in literacy focused on teacher social and emotional competence, and is a trauma informed breathwork facilitator based in Reno, Nevada. Twenty five years in classrooms, coaching and union leadership taught her that capable people under sustained pressure do not need better strategy. They need the capacity to use the strategy they already have. She works with superintendents, executives and the teams around them.
